Our Mission

Family Meals in Minutes

Providing quick, healthy and cost-effective meals is the ultimate challenge for harried parents. Kids who eat regular sit-down dinners with their family take in more fruits and vegetables, and scarf down fewer fried foods and soft drinks when they're away from home. They also benefit from higher self-esteem, school performance and development. FMIM works with a transitional living community to help busy families integrate healthy food, cooking and eating into their lives through conducting cooking/nutrition workshops for young parents.

The project will work with youth ages 8-12 at a local YMCA after-school program to offer healthy eating and fun physical activity options.

This project is a League-wide event across four countries that collaborates with the community to raise awareness and help communities address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition.
