Bubbles & Ballots

Learn about California’s 2020 State Propositions in this informative non-partisan webinar hosted by the Junior League of San Diego in conjunction with the San Diego League of Women Voters! Our presentation starts with information about how to vote and recognizing that this is the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The presenter then goes over each proposition covering:

  • what each prop is proposing to do
  • how it got on the ballot
  • the fiscal impact
  • who the supporters are and their arguments
  • who the opponents are and their arguments
  • questions asked by attendees.

Local San Diego ballot measures are also covered at the end of the webinar.

This is a recording of the event which took place on October 1, 2020. Please help support the Junior League of San Diego to put on more events such as this as well as continue their other work training women leaders and supporting Transition Aged Youth and Human Trafficking Awareness.

Thank you to The League of Women Voters for helping us put on this wonderful event

The League of Women Voters is a peoples’ organization that has fought since 1920 to improve our government and engage all Americans in the decisions that impact their lives. We operate at national, state and local levels through more than 800 state and local Leagues, in all 50 states as well in DC, the Virgin Islands and Hong Kong. We never endorse or oppose political parties or candidates, but we are political. Formed from the movement that secured the right to vote for women, the centerpiece of the League’s efforts remain to expand participation and give a voice to all Americans. We do this at all three levels of government, engaging in both broad educational efforts as well as advocacy. Our issues are grounded in our respected history of making democracy work for all Americans.
