JLSD Board Academy 2017

Board Academy is an engaging and dynamic program that trains current and future community members on how to become effective leaders of a nonprofit Board of Directors.  Local non-profit experts will provide training on board roles and responsibilities, developing strategic plans, measure impact, monitor financial status, understand your role in public policy, and learn how to engage the community as a Board member.

Participants will graduate from the series with an understanding of how a nonprofit organization operates effectively and will be confident in the knowledge and skills to become active, productive Board members who engage with competence and confidence.  Local presenters will teach using interactive and engaging lectures, case studies and group exercises.
