JLSD Advocacy Statement

The Junior League of San Diego is committed to serving the needs of women and youth in the San Diego community through effective legislative and community advocacy efforts.  We take action on state issues that affect our projects and focus areas while focusing on the communities we directly serve. Relating to such issues we educate our members and the San Diego community while fostering collaboration and communication with community partners.

JLSD Advocacy Commitee

The Junior League of San Diego Advocacy committee works to raise public awareness and league education around the issues of transition-age youth and human trafficking while developing and maintaining relationships with elected officials and community partners within these focus areas.

The Advocacy Committee hosts three major events a year including the Community Impact Forum, Human Trafficking awareness rally, and "Legislation and Libations" training. The Advocacy Committee also supports the JLSD State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC) delegates to establish relationships with elected officials to maintain the Public Affairs Advocacy network.
